Thank you to the plungers and runners who made 2017 a banner year for the Emporia Plunge raising an awesome $25,300.87!  The challenge is on for a new record in 2018!

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Pancake Feed @ $7, Silent Auction Opens
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Registration & Duck Adoptions
Noon – 2:00 p.m. – Lunch $7 per meal
12:30 p.m. – Silent Auction Closes

Mouse Lake (1101 Topeka, Emporia,66801)

10:00 a.m. – 5K and 1 mile Strut Start
11:15 a.m. – Costume Judging
11:30 a.m. – PLUNGE
Noon – Pluck a Duck
12:15 p.m. – Pluck a Duck Winner and Awards Announced

Plungers are required to wear swimsuits under costumes

Fundraising Minimums

Participants must raise a minimum of:

$75.00     to Plunge

$30.00     for 5k or 1 mile strut

$105.00   to Plunge & Strut

Strutters who raise the minimum fee will receive a scarf; Plungers who raise the minimum fee will receive a long sleeve T-shirt. Registration Information:

If you do not register on line you can register in person at the Senior Center starting at 9 a.m.

Download your waiver here and complete it before you come to registration.

Strutter Information:

5K and 1 mile Strut will start and end at Mouse Lake.    Click Here to view the route.

Pre and Post-Plunge Party

Before the Plunge join us for a pancake feed and/or warm up with lunch after your Plunge.  Both events will be at the Emporia Senior Center and will be $7 per meal.

Pluck a Duck 50/50 – $5 donation per duck, $20 for a 6-Quack.
Prize is 50% of the Pluck a Duck pot

Get Your Cool On, gather your family and friends, and challenge them to join you or support you.  Raise over $1,500 to become a Big Bear Fundraiser. Create a great costume for our contest or just come out and join us for a great time!
